Our story

At the Crews Café we’re passionate about serving great food and making a difference to the community.

That’s why all our profits go to supporting the work of The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation. Also, all the servers at the Crews Café are all in-training! We’re teaching them the skills they need for a fresh start in hospitality.

The Crews Café training program is called Transition 2 Work. It is run in partnership with TAFE NSW.

The program helps people gain employment in the hospitality sector. Indeed, trainees learn about food hygiene and handling, using kitchen equipment and menu planning as well as customer service. They can earn themselves a Certificate II in Hospitality.

It all happens under the guidance of qualified professionals including baristas, chefs, restaurant managers and recruitment agencies.

The program makes our trainees job-ready, as well as opening doors to employment. In fact, two-thirds of our graduates have gained hospitality jobs.
The Crews Café is making the future better for our trainees and also giving back to the community.
